Well now, maybe real life ISN´T like the movies after all...

I mean EVERYONE does that, right?

So now, what do we do with that?

1. I am currently TWENTY FIVE.

2. I am as SINGLE as single could be.

3. I actually was in a pretty serious relationship when I was 23, we even bought a fridge and everything.

4. I am currently living a high school crush with an impossible guy.

5. Again, I am 25.

So, maybe I missed my marriage boat. Which doesn´t really bother me at all, as just the thought of marriage gives me a rash nowadays *shudders.

But, it got me thinking about a couple of things ( for one, that I love to make lists):

1. Is 25 too old to have a high school crush? (This meaning that it is like a crush in highschool with the shyness and not making a moveness, not that I like a kid that´s in high school...just to be sure)

2. Most of my girlfriends are in serious, long lasting, life changing relationships by now.

3. That is a complete lie...now that I think about it only TWO of my, like...10 girlfriends are...

4. I lie a lot. Well, no, I exagerate, not so much lie...but to the extreme.

5. You know in romantic comedies the female leads are always 26, 27, 28 or 29 when they suddenly appear on film and their parents and married girlfriends start pressuring them about getting married and they start to go on blind dates and eventually meet the unlikely man of their dreams in the most unlikely situation? This point opens up a series of new points:

a) Why are none of my family members or friends pressuring me into blind dates or marriage? Is it because they´ve lost hope? Or do they think I will eventually find my unlikely man of my dreams in a whirl of cheesy movie situations and badly written puns? Is it because I´m only 25? Why do they age discriminate me?

b) Why do I watch so many romantic comedies? Do I really watch them Ironically? Or do I actually have that soft spot for imagining meeting a Paul Rudd lookalike while accidentally misplacing my bra in the laundromat or something like that?

6. Can you tell I had two weeks of vacations in which I would go to sleep at 3am or worse everynight, so last night I couldn´t fall asleep, and today I got up at 6am for my back to school, so I´ve only slept 3 hours which puts me in the line between awake and asleep which I tenderly call hallucinating?

7. Huh? Can you???

Good night everybody...

is 25 the new 35?

think about that baby

w.
